The decision to run off their most knowledgeable, entertaining, and prolific posters taking OH's advertisers with them, is ABSOLUTELY totally in OH's hands.

This is decision time for them.

Do they like the money being made here or are they willing to kiss it goodbye?

So, what happens when OH management uses information from another site they do NOT own (such as Facebook) to take what are perceived as OH disciplinary actions on OH? Using info that didn't come "through OH" to make decisions and carry out actions on OH seems beyond shady.

In my place of employment, yes those things would bother me but we aren't talking about work we are talking about a message board that we are free to participate in or not.  I really don't give a flying **** whether or not they read my private messages.  I am not passing state secrets.  And I have the brains not to write anything on the internet that I wouldn't want broadcast to the world.  I have no expectation of privacy here or anywhere else online.
As I said, if I don't like the way a site is run I can find another place I like better.  I promise you it won't affect my life if I don't come on OH or any other site.
I belong to another forum, not WLS related, that is moderated to death.  It is even in their TOS that they can ban you for life for things you post on other sites.  It is run by one person and she makes all the decisions and there is no compromising.  And the site is very successful.  She could really care less if I or any other person likes it.  I know what it is and I act accordingly if I want to participate.  And if I don't like their rules I can leave.  This isn't kindergarten.  Things don't have to be fair all the time.  My presence or lack thereof will not matter an iota to this person. 
If anyone thinks that this or any other forum can't exist without them they are mistaken.  And you know what?  If it doesn't then I guess the people who run the forum will learn a valuable lesson.  It really isn't up to me.

 I'm proud of OH for standing up for a set of values they believe in ...  and most of the world believes in.  

Whats so WRONG about  disallowing  bullying , namecalling , personal attacks etc.  They are NOT our first amendment rights ! 

I  think OH  management is VERY wise and in the long run ... this decision will make them a LOT of money .

They ban someone as intelligent and helpful as Diana and then let you stay.

This is just wrong on so many levels.

  

Diana was banned for something she wrote about OH on a PRIVATE Facebook page.

Certainly NOT for her exemplary behavior HERE.
