I just want to tell you that I'm glad you are doing so well and I give you major credit for sticking around and talking to people as an example. I know you are making a difference for people

Larissa, I too, would like to thank and commend you for sticking around and helping others by sharing your story. You're a class act.

People are not going to clap and cheer as you make a dangerous and terrifying choice. Expecting them to is silly.

"Support" is not lauding or fostering stupidity. The members of this forum are a million times more knowledgeable than you and all of your friends combined on the matter, not to mention they're impartial- unlike your friends and your unqualified DS doc who will tell you what you want to hear.

It is apparent that your pride means more to you than your life.

How unfortunate.

Any chance you can try and spell things correctly and use a readable font? Your posts are difficult to read. Just double-check them before you hit "submit." A typo here and there is fine, but yours are tough to read. And cutesy fonts are not so cute. They get garbled when different computers "read" them. Just stick with the basics.

And no one is trying to hurt you. Quite the opposite, in fact.

Ever had to take medication to save your life? Consider the message you've been getting a necessary bitter pill. I hope you listen, and live a long and happy life.

Honestly I did read your other post so I do know what you are talking about and in my opinion if I were you and you were getting bad reviews about a DS doctor from Dianna Cox I would run away as fast as I could and find another doctor.  I have Dianna blocked and have for years because I don't totally agree with her way of approaching the subject of choosing surgery, that said, if I was having surgery and opting for a DS I would listen very closely to what she has to say and if she says this doctor is not capable of performing this very intricate surgery on your body, I would search for another doctor.  No one here is trying to do anything but see you have a successful weight loss surgery experience and not end up with regrets and complications.  Please think twice about what is being posted to you from other DSers, they have nothing to gain or lose by saying what they are so please choose carefully and know that we are trying to be supportive perhaps not the support you want to hear but support that could save your life.

Youngin.....you'd be wise to listen to the many good hearted albeit sometimes sharped tongued (which by the way I'm friends with most of them because of that tongue!) veterans TRYING TO POTENTIALLY SAVE YOUR LIFE.

If any of these people told me what they are telling you, I'd run to another choice.  You are very fortunate in that you have this information BEFORE you get on the table.

These veterans are doing nothing but looking out for YOUR wellbeing.  Don't shoot the messengers.  We'd all rather see you make a better decision than read later "I should've listened"...or worse, your obit.

Just sayin.

P.S....rock on all you great vets that are doing your best to pay it forward!!  Hugs!
