Hello Suzanne,
May I ask you what made you decide to go with the Sleeve vs Gastric bypass RNY?

Hi,

I did a lot of research, and found that the sleeve was a much better choice for me. If you notice there are a lot more people who have sleeves compared to the other two types of surgery you mentioned--must be a reason--it works great for us.  I would have more of a normal life and would be able to eat the things that would work for me.  I felt that the sleeve for me was going to be something that I could live with for the rest of my life.

I also felt that Gastric bypass was something I never wanted.  I have watched too many people regain their weight right back after having Gastric bypass.  Gastric bypass --you do not absorb the nutrients from the food either.

The sleeve just offered me all the right things.
I lost 105 pound and that was 3 years ago that I had my surgery and I have kept it off.  It is just a natural way for me to eat.  I eat protein, veggies, fruit, whole grains.  I eat them in small amounts and I never feel deprived at all!.
