 Good Morning everyone,

Hope everyone is having a great week and getting ready for Christmas.     2 1/2 weeks till that big day.    Today is my middle son's 26th birthday !!  Happy Birthday Shawn.    I celebrated it with him last night at Teen Challenge.    Grateful that my son decided to do something and get help for his heron addiction before it was too late.   Yesterday was the funeral of a 23 yr. old young man who had a amazing future ahead of him who died of a drug overdose.   This young man was in the church youth group with 2 of my 3 sons.     Grateful that my son is back on the right track now or that could have been him laying in that casket yesterday.    Grateful for my life and health, family and friends.    My Faith and answered prayers.    Grateful that I am no longer a "food addict" and I try to keep my food addiction under control.   Grateful for support groups, Obesity Help, the message boards and YOU !!!  Grateful for my WLS and all the choices today and grateful for second chances.  PLEASE share with us if you wish what you are grateful for today.   Have a blessed day !!

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

I'm sorry to hear about the young man that died. When I was a teen I got into drinking and some drugs, but I stopped before it got bad. Unfortunately many of my friends did not. A few have died over the past several years, 18-25 year olds. I feel sad for them that they died before ever really getting to live. I hope your son does well with his recovery.

Today I am grateful for being at goal. I am grateful for my DS. I am grateful that I had my DS at such a young age, I am just 23. I have my whole life ahead of me now to live in good health. I have to be very diligent on my end with proper diet, exercise, vitamins, labs, etc. It's very well worth the work to get to live the life I have today. My life is not perfect. I have horrible problems with depression, but I do my best to be grateful for what I do have and that makes what I don't have (or what I think I need) not seem like a big deal.

Have a great day:-)

Congratulations to you on making your goal.    Yes....any of the WLS are SO worth it.   Praying that the depression for you gets better.   I wish I had my WLS sooner.   I was 52 when miy WLS was done.   Have a wonderful week and thank you for your well wishes for my son.....I know he is goind to be OK.     He is 26 yrs. old today as a matter of fact and his friend who died was 23.     Have a fantastic day.
