hair loss
ok - I am encouraged that most of you say that it grows back. I have spend hours of painful lazer surgery to remove facial hair - so I certainly do not want that to grow back - ( I have PCOD) however I have already gotten the Nioxin 4 for my hair and I have started taking Biotin - and I still have lots of hair on my legs that I shave regularly...lol. If any of you have seen my pictures on my profile - you can see how long my hair was - I will try to add some of my hair now.
Anyway - thank you all so much for your help.

For me every surgery causes 6 months of hair loss, so its taken quite a while for me to actually get my hair grown back from the short cut I got after rny. My hair is now shoulder length and it still falls out more then I would like but now its more from the torture I put it through bleaching and straightening. It will grow back eventually, it might even be a different texture when it does. I have seen people start with straight hair and end up with curly when it comes back.
Good Luck

I had my surgery on July 27 and I started loosing in mid-to-late October and I went from long hair to a short bob cut in a wedge around my face... check out my pix. Hang in there... my husband is also not a fan of short short hair - he even admitted to needing to get used to my hair - but in the long run - it WILL grow back, and he knew I just needed to do it to feel alright about what was happening to my body. Hang in there.

I know this topic doesn't fit with the hair loss but... I am new to this website and not very good with a computer. Will you please explain to me how to go about "chatting" and making posts like this? Or anyone else out there that might read this? I don't even find a "contact" us for the sight where I could call and ask for help. Thanks

I had a headful of super thick hair going into surgery in July 2010. I'm 16 mths out and I'm still losing it. It's pretty thin now, but doesn't look real noticeable unless you knew me before. You can't see my scalp anywhere or anything like that. The loss has slowed down quite a bit though. I'm taking Biotin as well. The amount of hairs coming in is incredible though, so have faith!! I have a ton of tiny baby hairs all over my head. Kind of brings tears to my eyes, lol
