I shred everything too, but used to send those prepaid envelopes back with flattened lead fishing weights added (since it is so heavy, they pay extra postage when it gets back, and they NOTICE).
Just flatten any lead bits with a hammer - super easy, super heavy, goes in any envelope.
Sending my notes back in a crazy heavy envelopes at their expense was often the only way to make them hear, otherwise, they just keep sending unwanted crap.
