Mexico
There is one sleeve surgeon in MX that I consistently read very positive reviews about. I'm probably getting his name wrong, but it is at least similar to "Aceves". Hopefully someone will pop in with the correct name.
There is only ONE safe DS surgeon in MX and that is Dr. Ungson in Hermosillo.

Do your research and make sure you can have someone local to you follow up.
Some moron surgeon went up to Ketchikan, gave away 1 free lap band (it was some contest). The person flew down, had it done (I don't know the name of the surgeon) came back to Ketchikan. Here's the kicker, no one (at the time, I don't know about now) does the fills.

I went to Dr. Aceves and it was the real deal - exellent surgeon with a great team, wonderful little private hospital. I work in health care and so does my friend, a Physical Therapist, who went with me. we were both very impressed with the care I received.
I wish you good luck.
I wish you good luck.
once upon a time I had a group to talk about Binge Eating Disorder, and later one about Clean Eating.
PM me if you are interested in either of these.

Hello,
I went to Obesity Control Center with Dr. Ortiz and Martinez in T.J.--Mexico isn't a backwoods alley...I had the lapband done in 2008 and then revised to VSG (sleeve) in March. I paid a few more thousand than what you were quoted, but it was the nicest surgical center I've ever been in and they treat their patients very well. My nurse didn't speak much English, but almost everyone else does. OCC is a bariatric center of excellence and they did a good job! I'm a slow loser (but I have some metabolic issues and was a revision on top of that) but I will probably go back to OCC for plastics as well after I get these last 20 lbs. off! Let me know if you have anymore questions and good luck!

I called them and they informed me that I would have 2 lose weight b4 I would have the sleeve done with them b/c of my BMI. If I need 2 have the surgery 2 lose weight, then that means I can't do it on my own. And the kicker is, even after I would lose the weight, which according 2 them would b 60 lbs, I still would have to pay an extra $500. No thanks! Appreciate your help though:))
Aceves and Ungson are the only two in MX I would let touch me. If your weight is that hi you may want to look at the DS (ie Ungson) as you will probably be happier with the results.
