I am trying to bake oatmeal raisin cookies.  They are sticking to the pan and crumbling into a big mess.  I've thrown out 3 pans worth already.  I tried non-stick spray and that didn't help a bit.

PLEASE HELP!!!!

Thanks!!

Parchment paper works great.   Or wax paper.  You can buy it in a roll where you buy foil and plastic wrap.
Remember, if you want to be a 155 pound person, you have to EAT like one.

Don't use wax paper! It will make your cookies taste funny, but parchment will work. Your best bet though is to go out and get a few Silpat mats, they are the BEST for baking.

Throwing out cookies?!!? That's the most horrifying thing I've heard all day.

Is there anything different with this recipe, like low carb or low fat? There is usually so much butter in my recipes that nothing sticks. I'd give the parchment a try, and if that fails, can you add more butter?

No, they are regular cookies that I got the recipie off the internet for.  Lots of butter.  I don't know why they stuck but the parchment worked great.

Never throw away cookies!!! They taste the same, even if they're not 'pretty'. (*grin*)

My son loves oatmeal raisin cookies, and I tried several recipes from online that ended in disaster before I found the recipe on the container of the Quaker oatmeal.  That is the best recipe I have found for making tasty and also pretty cookies.  The pan you use makes a big difference.  I finally forked out some money on a really nice insulated heavy duty baking sheet.  Amazing how much better the cookies turn out.

P.S.  Never throw out cookies.  Sometimes the ugly ones are the ones that end up tasting the best.  LOL.

WHAT?!? You threw away cookie crumbles? No only do they not have the same calories as intact cookies, but they are a great crunchy topping for Fage yogurt and CarbSmart ice cream.
Or you could package them up and claim they are homemade granola chunks before giving them as gifts to your neighbors.
