I can honestly say that I did really good...I didn't over eat, and I made good choices...Once I started feeling like I was getting full, I put my plate in the sink away from where I was sitting...This way I didn't continue to eat what was left on my plate, as I tend to do that...It was one of my days to where I couldn't eat much of anything...Its strange, cuz other days I feel like I can eat a horse...I wonder if anyone else goes through this?

How was your Thanksgiving?

Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only TRUE FRIENDS will leave footprints in your heart...And may that friendship have such a ONENESS that when one weeps the other will taste salt...Friends are like balloons ; once you let them go you can't get them back....So I'm going to tie you to my heart so I never lose you.

It went pretty well. I have a cold so I didn't eat much at all.  Few bites of dark meat and a bit of mashed and a bit of sweet potatoes and I was done.

I have days when I can't eat much at all and other days where I too, could eat a horse.

I munch on Spitz sunflower seeds alot.  One continous source of protein.

Happy holidays

It went how I planned, which is why I made a plan.  I went to my son and dil's house and I knew there would be turkey and mashed potatoes and gravy that I could eat.  Other then that I played it by ear.  I brought a side dish and dessert that I knew I would be able to eat.  I allowed for anything else that might be there that was sugar free and gluten free (there wasn't) and I ate what I had decided to eat.  I loaded up on the dark meat turkey with a little white meat for measure, had some mashed potatoes and gravy, a little of my mashed cauliflower and for dessert I had my protein almond cookie I brought and a little of the sugar free, gluten free New York cheesecake I brought.  I sent my leftovers how with  my dil's grandfather, who is diabetic and thrilled to be able to have cheesecake.  I didn't pay attention to what anyone else was eating and when I knew I was finished I brought my dish to the sink so I wouldn't pick at it.  After that I visited with my family and had a good time.

It was fine, I don't eat a whole lot, so mainly I had a small piece of turkey, some yummy stuffing, cranberry sauce and some corn.  I think I had one bite of my bread and I tasted the squash and carrot combo vegetable but that was it.  I doubt I even ate a cup of food.  I had a small slice of pumpkin pie a while later.

For dinner we had stuffed shells, that were delicious, I had two.

It was delicious, thank you! But I can say I'm very glad to be finished with the leftovers!

We had turkey, cornbread dressing, green beans, scalloped potatoes, brocoli-cheese casserole, creamed corn, sliced tomatoes, giblet gravy, yeast rolls,  lemon ice-box pie, walnut pie, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, and cranberry sauce. I had some of everything except the last three---'cause I don't LIKE those. (*grin*)

In the days following, we've also had turkey salad, turkey soup, and just plain turkey. I LOVE turkey, but I'm pretty tired of it right now---so we're having chili for dinner tonight.
