You mean this wasn't a question for a beauty pageant? *grin*

I've just been in one of those moods where it's been very, very hard to take things seriously.  That is especially true when it comes to this forum.  Yeah, some of the moderation is silly, confusing , and frustrating.  Then I remember that no one makes me come here.  As it is, I have enough fun and have learned quite a bit that whatever the owner and his minions want to do is beyond my caring*, let alone control.  When I no longer get any pleasure from this place, I'll find some other place to hang out.  Life would go on as it did when another forum I frequented shut down.  Nature and web pages abhor vacuums; when something disappears, there is always something to take its place.

*Caring enough to go start my own site, that is.

The main problem here is the moderation.

There needs to be a way to moderate the moderators. An appeal process that is transparent and clearly documented that begins above and beyond the moderators control. Perhaps a publicly elected board of peers (other forum posters) with the power to veto and override moderator actions...

I agree with EN, Bailey MsBatt and GK. They have covered exactly what I'd change.

Free Speech!  if a post or thread is pulled, there should be a very good, specific reason for it. not just somebody got offended.

I am offended by censorship! and posts pulled for STUPID reasons or no reasons.

once upon a time I had a group to talk about Binge Eating Disorder, and later one about Clean Eating.

PM me if you are interested in either of these.

A place where people can come to get needed support, a place where there are no surgery wars, and people can feel comfortable posting here regardless of which surgery they had. A place like it used to be long time ago when Amy Williams was the moderator. At least when the bullies were at bay the main forum had a lot more activity.
