I started at 283.5lbs and a 42ddbra and was morbidly obese for twenty years and wore a bra day and night because otherwise my back killed me, i am a 36d now at 145lbs at 5'5 and 47 years old. You just never know whats going to happen to them until you lose weight, your young with good skin (i saw you wrote) so you may be pleasantly surprised. Good luck.

Im glad you responded to this Heidi because I too have always wore a bra 24/7. I absoltuely did not want droopy boobs especially as they got bigger..So Im praying that they will be ok like yours afterwards because Im your starting size..

The reason I know I lost weight and my breasts aren't nearly as heavy is I can now lift my arms over my head without excruciating pain, or sleep with my hand under my pillow without pain.  When I was MO the pain from the strain on my arms and back were terrible, that is all gone, even when I don't wear a bra (which even now is rare).  I was looking at them today when I got out of the shower because of this post and they are actually kinda perky, which is something they weren't when I was young, they point out not down,  it really was some sort of miracle really.

Good Luck

I have lost just over 100 lbs and mine actually look pretty good.  I went from a 40f to a 34dd and they are doing ok so far.  But I still have 25 lbs to lose so they might not last.

I would like to think that you have age on your side and although there may be some changes, they might not be all that bad.  I had surgery at 58 plus and mine were pretty pitiful.  I went from a 38DD to a 32 or 34C but there was virtually nothing left.  In clothes you really couldn't tell though.  I lost about 120 lbs and have alot of lose skin on my arms and thighs.  Age and genes coupled with the amount you lose and number of years you have been obese play a part.

I am happy with the current state of things now due to a diagnosis of breast cancer, mastectomy and implants.  I must say, though that it was a difficult way to get where I am today.

My advice to you would be don't let the threat of the skin and droopy breasts deter you from what will be a life-changing event.  The only regret that I have about the surgery is that I was not able to do it at the age of 24.

Wow that's a lot to deal with! So sorry to hear. And no it won't stop me from the surgery. I just wanted some opinions. I've been overweight for 15 years at least. But I guess if there are anything I do not like, I will deal with it when the time comes!

My DDs became tube socks facing Tibet ... but then I am old and they had already started the downward path of gravity and were no longer at the level of my axillae as in my younger years.... Not to fret ... you have youth and beauty on your side .... I am sure you will fare much better than I ... yo are definitely going to lose boobage but that does not mean that they will look bad... plus there are so many items you can use to enhance and make your tatas stay/look pretty everyday... Have fun with your journey ... I wish you nothing but the best...
