OT - WARMING UP ...who is putting the bulky sweaters on?

 'cause its gonna be COOOOOLLLLLLLLLDDDDDDDDD.... brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ... today is not so bad ... but last week I had to pull out the bulk ... and look after my fur circus too ... WHY OH WHY was I feeling like the little lady who lived in a shoe ..the one who had so many children she didn't know what to do ...oh wait ... that was Mother Goose ....YIKES I am living a rhyme... 

We are all trying to keep warm ..with the furnace OFF that is... all of us ...although we did have to break down and use the fireplace once or twice .... Keeping warm including our 8 spoiled and beautiful ferrets that I love soooooo much ... girl I am going to have a stroke if anything happens to any of my guys (knock on wood)...

So last week I ordered sweatshirts for my guys ... the same number I got online last year ... they were dirt cheap at $2.99 a pop ... I got 6 blue ones and 2 pink ones ... the guys thought they were just toys ... as they used them as objects to hide or to strip off one another ... then they would run up to me to get dressed again ... until I figured out I was dressing the same ferret over and over ...

This time, only one in the bunch ... my youngest...my baby ferret FiniBeau kept his sweatshirt on ... and made sure his brothers did not tug it off him ... of course this lasted until this morning when we found that one of his brothers stole Beau's sweatshirt and hid it under their ferrethammock where another one snuggled on top of it ... he found it and brought it in his mouth and stood at the pen for it to be put back on again and did not move until I did so ... 

This is Beau on Saturday in his sweatshirt ... nice and warm and loving it... we were celebrating my 4 year 9 months surgiversary ..after a failed candlelit dinner attempt ... that is another story LOL 

This was my ferret Petunia in her pink sweatshirt last year ... I bought the same ones for the girls this year ... she had it on for less than 30 minutes ... then she hid it and slept on top of it...


This is petunia sporting her winter hat ... this time I bought 6 blue ones and 2 pink ones ...



So after figuring out that the problem with these sweatshirts is that they can easily wiggle out of them because they are too loose and not snug enough .. .they think they are play tubes LOL... but I just found just the right sweaters for them  on my lunch break... I got one for my dwarf ferret Chiquitita and she LOVES IT... KEPT IS ON WITH NO PROBLEM ... I guess I could make these with socks too but I am not feeling particularly crafty after my weekend that went all too quick.... So I hopped online and ordered 7 more of these for my girls and boys ... I know they will keep this on ... they are definitely a few more dollars than the ones I got for $2.99 but well worth it ... I guess I got what I paid for ... and these are warmer...


And for their walk I found the cutest coats .. ... and I got those too.... can't wait to take pics of them in their wares when they get here...

I spent my weekend working my arse off at my shop ... started one thing and got involved in a million others ... and the weekend flew ... and its Monday ... but I got to spend quality time with my family and my fur babies ...

and I spent my 4 years 9 months monthly-surgiversary on Friday at my shop ... weaving/doing inventory and farting around with my windows...


AND IF THIS WAS NOT A GOOFY THREAD ... WHAT IS? TEEEEEEEEE HEEEEEEEEE ... JUST HAVING FUN ... INVOLVED IN A MILLIONS THINGS AND KEEPING IT LIGHT ... WHILE JUMPING OVER HURDLES .... KEEPING THE FAITH AND EMBRACING JOY... one.day.at.a time...while trying to keep warmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....


PULLING OUT THE BULKY SWEATERS .... WHEN DID IT GET SO COLD SO SOON?

Thanks for allowing me to share my goofy thread and sharing my furry kritters just because I love being silly and I love being a picture AW LOL... they are all part of my journey ... I think I burn more calories cleaning ferret **** out of four litter boxes while they try to run up my pants legs, jump on my head and swing from my extensions ... jump and latch themselves onto my arm in a bear hug all while I am shoveling shiat LOL gotta love 'em ... Caspar lodged himself on my neck and won't move this morning while I am dizzy bent over and scooping ferret manure whil my DH is rolling over laughing and I am containing the urge to fling a scoopfull on his head LOL ...and to think both he and my DS contracted to clean the boxes when THEY were the first to get me the first two ferrets and got me totally hooked (transfer blame teee heeee)... yet I am stuck with both the liter and the litter ... gotta love it... I love my little ****ters though ... they make me oh soooooooooo happy....

 OMG  the fur babies are so cute!!!  I have the winter bins out and waiting for it to turn cold so I can wear them.  Isn't it nice to be able to wear sweaters?  I never did when I was big.

 I don't care much for sweaters except for them keeping me warm LOL..... I most definitely hated coats AND sweaters when I was big....

Love looking at your babies.  Even my schnauzer decided to wear her sweater this year.  She has always hated it but was shivering and I put it on her and she went and got into her bed and went to sleep.  Guess we all change as we get older.  She is 13 but doesn't act it. 

 Schnauzers are just ADORABLE ... how cute she must look in her sweater and in this cold I bet she is loving it too!!!! 

That's just too funny, you are dressing up the ferrets in sweaters.  Did you happen to notice whats under the sweaters, yeah its a fur coat, they don't need sweaters silly.  But I know that won't stop you, and I find it hilarious.  I have gotten out my winter duds and started wearing a lot of capes this year only to the chagrin of my bf who thinks I am a freak, but the more he protests the more I wear.  lol  My latest project is to make my bf clean his wardrobe out and donate all his warm clothes to this homeless guy I see near my office, he always has on too small  sweaters and such and I feel terrible for him, so my latest mission is to get him some nice warm winter clothes.

Good for you on getting that homeless guy some nice warm winter clothes ... that is AWESOME ... I bet you are rocking those capes ... 

I have fun shopping for my little guys LOL ... they are just as silly as me ... they love me to dress them up so they can engage themselves in a game of 'strip off' where they dance and tug the dud off each other ... but sweaters they like ... or pretend to anyhow LOL... they are used to it by now ... been dressing them since they were wee babies...

This is my next to youngest ... he is a sable and his name is Sebastian...

He's a cutie, and I love that short doo and no wonder you are cold girl you have nothing on.  lol  You look hot though, if that counts. lol

those ferrets are cute!  do they ever bite ?  I have gotten out my cable sweaters out my flannel lined jeans and flannel shirts out its going to be a mean winter especially when I am out on that bridle path I will look like the Pillsbury dough girl!  And hand warmers and toe warmers and fleece-lined gloves and on and on.  everybody wonders how I stay on the horse with all that on me and I reply warm thank you. 

Ohhhhhhhhhh if I could be on a horse and be able to ride and even own one I would be the happiest person in the whole wide world .. ...how AWESOME that you get to be out on that bridle path and on your horse ... I LOVE LOVE LOVE seeing your avie when you post ... you are sooooooo beautiful standing beside your horse...

My ferrets don't bite at all ... they were all babies when I got them they are silly and playful and require tons of sleep as they really play hard in their awake hours ... they are litter trained, harness trained, do tricks and respond to their names ... they are sooooooo funny and inquisitive and they love to cuddle ...
