THANKS~

 Hi Becky
I have a Pergo floor in one of my rooms.  I vacuum it with a regular vacuum cleaner, and about once a week damp mop it with a combination of water and vinegar.  I heard cleaners leave a film on it.  The room it's in doesnt get much use, so that works fine.  If it were to be more heaviy used I might try whatever you clean your kitchen floors with.

Whatever you do, make sure you use just a damp (not soaked) mop.  I have heard water can get underneath the planks and cause problems.

Back when I had hard wood floors, I'd push a sleeping dog over dusty spots.

Or stick a kid on a blanket and scootch them around.

Actually, I strapped towels to the boys hands and knees and had them shuffle all over the floor.  It was a new 'game'.  Lasted about 15 minutes before they got dangerous.

I'll stop now and make room for the intelligent answers.

We had Pergo...just moved to Maryland and currently in a hotel room.

There are kits at Lowe's or Home Depot for pergo/laminate floors.  It has a soft mop and a spray that works really well.  Our floors are about five years old and they still look like new...impervious to German shepherds!

Good luck

More flooring manufacturers recommend Bona than any other cleaner.  I use it and it is neutral (requires no rinsing) and you just spray it on and use a dry mop to wipe it off.  Very easy and an excellent cleaner.

Also, be VERY careful abou****er on laminate floors.  They cannot get wet!  I would not wet mop them.  Laminate flooring is a picture of wood glued on top of fiberboard (glued sawdust).  It will expand like a sponge.  I have seen it on countless homes.

I agree with Joanne B. I was told to use a damp mop using water with a touch of vinegar. Works like a charm and no film!

I've been using Orange Glow but it's not great.  I think I'll try the Bona that's been suggested.

Mine are damaged, however, from water.  My washing machine, which is in the kitchen,  overflowed twice and the water got underneath the boards, bowing them.  It looks horrendous now and will have to be replaced before I sell this house.  If do have any spills, wipe them up ASAP.

Good luck,

Heather

It's been a while since I've done my own floors.  Promotion at work = housekeeper.

My housekeeper used Murphy's oil and my floors look and smell terrific.
