I am only 3 weeks post-op and I have weighted the exact amount for 6 days. Did anyone else do this?

I highly recommend that you weigh yourself no more than once a week.  You will make yourself crazy otherwise!  You will go days with nothing and then drop several pounds "overnight".  This early out you should just be focused on the big picture -- not the daily one.

That only means one thing. The doc didn't do the surgery

Okay just kidding.

Stop weighing yourself and stay focused on fluids and healing. Walk walk walk sip sip sip NOT weigh weigh weigh worry worry worry.

I had surgery in Jan and had quite a few periods where I didn't lose weight yet here I am a size 12 from a 22/24. I wish I had relaxed about it more back in the beginning.

Peace

I have wasted enough of my life worrying about what people think of me.

YES YES YES YES

For pity's sake, don't newbies READ???  Plateaus happen all the time.  For your own peace of
mind, stay off the scale.

Weigh only at your doctor's office.

I had plateaus, I'm sure, but I don't know when they happened or how long they lasted because I
only weighed when I went to my surgeon's office.

You will lose weight.  You cannot fail at this.  This is not a diet, it's your new life.  Pay attention to
your food intake and your exercise, but stay off the frikkin' scale.

I have no idea. I didn't pay enough attention to the scale to really notice. I do weigh myself daily but I don't follow it enough to know how long I was a certain weight.

Relax, it will happen and you will have many other things to worry about along the way.
