That Is very interesting . I personally LOVE anecdotal evidence .... because studies can be so easily skewed by a too short reporting period ...by giving the wrong vitamins ... by inaccurate wishful-thinking self- reporting (though i definitely read the studies too )
I personally do a LOT better on a carb and fiber rich VERY lowfat fairly low animal protein diet .
Interestingly enough i tended to eat like this ( except with more unhealthy elements like sugar and occasional binge foods ) BEFORE my WLS .
Im just wondering whether our real choice of surgery shouldn't be dictated by the kind of restriction we find we can successully live with pre -op .
I would have run over U like the proverbial mack truck to get to my sourdough bread as a preop .. and NEVER try to mess with my fat free and sugar free baking and desserts ...
But i could and DID give up fast food , burgers , fatty steaks and ribs and full fat cheese almost 100% successfully MANY years ago .
NO way could i have voluntarily given up my extremely high fiber bulky food items either like broccoli , pumpkin, carrots , cabbage and fruit ..
