Go to the RNY forum.  It is a lot less rude and forceful.
.. And in general not well informed about the DS.

If you want to know about the DS, follow Dianna's link and ask any other questions on the DS board, you know, where people who have actually HAD the surgery are to be found.

Why direct her to a place where she's guaranteed to get faulty info on the DS unless you want her to get bad information? This calls your motives into question, and not just your intelligence. I've met plenty of RNYers who make ferral wolverines look tame, but I'd still forward someone to the RNY board if that's what they had questions on because they would get some of the best info FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD THAT SURGERY. Ditto for the DS and you know it, but you're more afraid of imaginary evil DSers hurting her feelings. And contrary to the rumors spread by peeps like you, there's plenty of NICE DSers, even the ones who get called "meanies" are helpful and friendly.

As I said to the other person, you may have the last word.  Will not get into a battle of words with you.

Hope you have a wonderful week and may karma be with you.

If you call having the real truth told to be rude, then I'm sorry.  Everyone has a different way of putting things...it's called individualism.  I'm bipolar myself...as nuts as the day is long, and a stack of mental papers as thick as a New York phone book to prove it.  I've been on this site "lurking" for years, read the surgery wars, had my jaw drop sometimes, got honked off at "forum cops", but everyone has a say in something.  It's how you choose to view their message, or even IF you choose to, that counts.

I'd rather have a blunt truthful response than a sugar coated load of bullsh** any day of the week....even if it did offend my uncertain sensibilities.

Yep I do.  Individualism can be that with out being rude and insensitive to other people.  If this is what you gals pride yourselves in then so be it.  I will read what you say and take what I think is best for me and let the other go out the other ear. Bipolar?????? I know a lot of bipolar folks and they aren't rude.  Did not realize that that was a symptom of being bipolar. Learn something new everyday.

As you have stated we all have ways we would rather something be presented.

Touche!

I think it's ironic that you're showing yourself to be exactly what you're complaining about- rude.
