I take it then, that you become equally irritated when someone says, "I'm going to have the lap."

I want to say, "Well, isn't everyone having 'the lap.'"  My sister had 'the lap" VSG just a week ago today.

"The lap" reminds me of my brother meeting one of his inlaws who had WLS.  He has the DS and was asking her which surgery she had.  The woman said "the one where they put 5 little holes in your stomach".

Haha, I love it when people say they wanted the least evasive. I always want to tell them it might be less evasive but they wont loose enough weight.
