WTF, *I* have nothing to hide and, while I don't advertise addresses or full names, I don't kid myself that every unknown viewer is a pedophile who will immediately develop an obsession with my niece.
I'm just starting to think that there should be a training wheels version of the internet for people who have spent less than 5 years online...

You're right, not everyone out there is a creepy stalker, basketcase or pedophile- but there's enough of them out there where you can't be too careful. One week at engineering school will open one's eyes to some of the strangeness out there lurking on the web. I knew several male computer programmers who frequently mascaraded as single females on chat rooms and forums devoting signifgant chunks of their time to developing/perfecting these personas, and that's a rather MILD story of many I have to tell. I also knew a few girls (I wouldn't count them among my friends, however) who lurked on public chatrooms and they were in competition with each other on how many homes they could wreck (like a notch on their belt)- I found that to be particularly disturbing.
