This wls journey has me so mentally stressed , its not even funny.. I'm 54 ,  I'm doing fine as far as maintaining..all i can think about is what happens when i become senile, I wake up thinking senile I go to sleep thinking senile..ggeeeeezzz...
I've read so many people find hidden illness's later through their weight loss    Post Op  such as i have now. Cervical cancer , central Brain sleep apnea...cant remember to take my vitamins ( already having issues with this ) cant remember to do alot of things...
I actually wish Dr. Oz would start putting topics on his show about gastric bypass issues , it is health related right up his alley...Ok I've lost weight, I still have Diabetes. I still have to take Blood Pressure Meds for the rest of my life...I am so stressed.. tell me again why I had Wls?! thanks. and Peace to everyone in O H Wendy

I guess  my  question  for U  would be two things -    do U  HONESTLY feel U  didnt have these problems lurking BEFORE   U had WLS   or were U just ignoring them ?

and two  - did U do EVERYTHING -  like  SWEATING OUT  the massive amount of toxins that go into our bloodstreams that are( realtively safely )  stored in our fat cells  before we start to loserapidly  .. as U lost  andafter  to  avoid  toxin- caused  problems like  cancer ?

Its not too late  !!   Get thee  to a sauna  , hot tub, jacuzzi . or just a very very hot bath  ( apartment houses have them )   and SOAK for HOURS  and SWEAT  ... when it gets to be too much  for Ur heart  get out  forfive minutes or rinse off with cold and get back in ...

take  hot yoga classes  if you can

Ull see  getting rid of the toxin burden will definitely help things  and make u feel MUCH better  ( but be careful  not o overstress because of Ur heart issues )  .  Just use common sense  Hun .

U are such a brave and beautiful  admirable  strong woman .   We all applaud U  for Ur  riding  and I'm sure U can  conquer  this too .    Just  take action ... don't despair  ..  and don't go too far .   A little gentle  sweating  many days in a row is better  than  a HUGE  push in a sauna forsomeone with  a heart condition .   thefirst day U  may feel headachey and grouchy ... after that  U will feel better better and better !!!   Big hugs

U might also want to give some thought to  switching  over to a lowfat organic  / whole grain /  heavy on the fresh  vegetable ( and fruit )  diet ...  theres  a great forum here  reagrding clean eating ...  some very helpful and interesting threads .

When Ur body is already stressed from illness and struggling  to heal itself it makes  sense to help it along  with  the most pesticide burden -free  , most healthful and digestible  nutrition  doesn't it ?

There is a word in English:  a pronoun: "You".  Very flexible.

OMG!  I was thinking it but couldn't bring myself to write it--still too nice for my own damn good.  Three little letters...y-o-u.  It's good exercise for your fingers...

My mother has angina, which resulted in angioplasty, and a triple bypass. She has a hot tub and uses it evey chance she gets. Doesn't hurt her at all. Just is cautious to not over do it, but she loves the heat.

She also has diabetes and high blood pressure too.

You had wls to help yourself.  To be positive, things may have become worse had you not had the surgery.  I don't know.  Stressing doesn't help but I can imagine that it would stress me too.  Don't have any insightful ideas so the best I can do is  that you get through all of this.  Take care,
Z

LIfe sometimes is enough to stress us all out.   Prayers coming your way that soon life will get better.   BTW...my memory has been gone for almost 22 yrs.    I lay my vitamins out every night and take the first thing in the AM.    If you can't remember that get a pill keeper and when the vitamins are done from that day...you have taken them.    I hope that you have taken your vitamins everyday since you had your RNY.    If not that could be some of the problems with memory.    Prayers coming your way.   Hope life improves for you real soon.

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

GOD GRANT ME THE SERENITY TO ACCEPT THE THINGS I CAN NOT CHANGE;   COURAGE TO CHANGE THE THINGS THAT I CAN;  AND THE WISDOM TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE !!!!    THIS IS MY DAILY PRAYER.

I figure I'll cross bridges when I come to them. Right now I'm enjoying life and my new health too much to worry. I think whatever space of time I will have had healthy will make my WLS worth it. I also am doing everything I can to avoid long term complications, including regular exercising. So I'm hoping...

Sorry for the problems you have been having.
