Low carb frozen/quick meals? (x post)
A lot of smart ones and lean cuisines have a lot of carbs. I would love to know if anyone knows any low carb frozen dinners or quick prepare meals I can bring to work for emergencies. I mostly try to make my food these days but it would be nice to have a quick meal every once in awhile. I love to make big crockpot meals and freeze them for work too! But I would love to hear suggestions!!
Most of the frozen meals out there have a lot of sodium and other things I don't care for. I just cook something with a lot of portions and freeze the rest. I have at least a months worth of food in the freezer.
The only frozen meal I have eaten was a Marie Callender meal that had 2 pieces of baked chicken, broccoli and mashed potatoes. I eat the chicken, some of the brocolli and a few bites of the potatoes. I haven't found any others that I would want to try.

The pizza's are great, some of the other stuff is just OK. But I did find some meals that I liked, like the baked Parma meal and a few others. The stats are for real. They are all about low carb high protein over there. You can call them and talk to them. I send a half hour on the phone with one of the owners once. He was great about explaining everything and making recommendations.
I'm always hesitant to order products online when they don't provide complete nutritional information on their website, including a list of ingredients in the products.
Also, on the home page it states that depending on how far you are away from California, your food may thaw during shipping but you can just refreeze it again when it arrives. Um, does that sound OK to everybody else? 'Cause it doesn't to me.
And finally, the minimum order is $85! I would never spend that much on something I don't even know if I like or not. When trying something new, I like to order a small quantity to start with. Then if I like it, I'll buy a big amount.

I am not a spokesperson or get any money (or anything else) for recommending them. They just worked well for me and I liked the taste and the stats. As far as your points, each product does have a list of ingredients on it. If you click on the picture of the product ( I think I had to click twice), it zooms you in to the cover and all the ingredients are listed right there. I could not find a list of all the nutritional values. They mostly just show the protein, carbs and fats. I do know that you could email them if you needed it. This really is more of a mom and pop operation that caters to a niche clientele, so it's not fully commercial. For me, the complete list of ingredients plus the protein, carbs and fats did the trick. But to each their own. I can't really comment much on shipping away from California, as I live in California. So you might very well have a good point there. I don't really know. As far as the minimum order, that is a bummer. I can understand how that would be a turn off. I took the chance and it worked for me, but that doesn't mean it would work for you. So I guess you could just look for a local brand that does something similar and doesn't have a minimal order, or we can just cook our meals. I only use their products to supplement my diet. I use it when I am busy or stressed and I just need something handy that is also good for me and is convenient. I am sure there are plenty of other things that would work for that.
