What food do you LOVE post op that you used to hate?
I liked salads pre-op, but now I positively crave them constantly...love them! And I can't say I love Greek yogurt, but they're okay, and I eat them. I probably wouldn't have eaten that pre-op. Still working on those protein shakes.

LOL - here is a list of things that made me gag pre-op, but I now love:
onions
cottage cheese
saurkraut
blueberries
coleslaw
bell peppers
So weird how our taste buds change!

SAND...it's not a club...it's a frame of mind...
Pre op I didn't have a lot of foods that I hated. The only thing that comes to mind is peas and I still can't stand them, although I love split pea soup. Go figure.
The only thing I can think of are protein shakes. With my first surgery I hated them and could only eat them if I used ice cream. At least it was low carb ice cream but still.
I couldn't wait until I could get all my protein from food and as soon as I could I never touched another shake.
I had the same plan this time but then I realized that it was going to be a long time before I could eat enough food to get in all my protein so I decided to find a way to tolerate them. Once I started messing around with sugar free syrups, sugar free pudding mixes and those kind of things I learned to love them.

Yogurt - i hated it pre-op and hated it for almost a year post-op. Then one day something changed and now I eat Greek Yogurt every day .. go figure!
On the other hand I seem to have developed allergies to some fresh fruit - specifically apples and cherries. Very sad.
