Harvest table in a jiffy ...

Okay ... I have a hard time working with real flowers ... ALLERGIES MUCH? I would be itching and sniffing and tearing and the works ... I rather work with silk flowers ... but when asked I set up a harvest table in a jiffy .... asked to decorate a credenza in our common area with the harvest so close the theme was just right ... with a few items from the craft store and some real flowers, a pumpkin, a block of dried hay and a chunk of wet floral Styrofoam and a clear plastic bad along with an ornament and some wired ribbon creative juices were ON..

Easy peasy ...just cut the pumpkin top off ... that's all ... wrap the plastic bag and stuff it in the pumpkin bringing the edges over and out covering the outside of the pumpkin .. I then shoved the wet Styrofoam block in and arranged the flowers which I cut at different lengths sticking each one into the Styrofoam ... when done I picked the edges of the plastic bag up from around the pumpkin and shoved them in and under the flower .... arranged the Floral Ribbon into a huge bow and with a floral pick (long) attached to the ribbon and stuck it into the Styrofoam...

I then sat the now pretty pumpkin vase on the block of hay after covering the table with a plastic  harvest table cloth... which I have decided I DO NOT LIKE and will get another piece instead .. not a tablecloth though.... I then placed the cut off top of the pumpkin in front of the block of hay... placed the harvest ornament on opposite end of the table and pitched some harvest leaves down on the table ... easy peasy and artsy fartsy ... totally imperfect but I like it ...
Yup I like ... not perfect but neither am I LOL .... some close up pictures

and of course AW me ... the tablecloth has got to go though... this was rushed ... getting a harvest doily instead...

Thank you! Real flowers are not my thing although I love them ... I am highly allergic but I took a Loratidine beforehand .... so no problems..

Pretty!

I decorated my front yard yesterday afternoon.  I have a little lady scarecrow, a couple of pumpkins and some deep orange mums.  I love fall colors.

 VERY nice job!

I totally enjoy reading your posts and looking at your pics!

Hoping all goes well with her cruise.  I just got off a 7 day cruise to Bermuda this past weekend, it was AWESOME!

Can't wait to give you a GREAT BIG LIPO HUG at the OH Conference in October!
