*I hate that I need to call the vet to schedule my 14 yr old dog to be put down. I don't want to. I know it needs to happen but I don't want to say goodbye.

I had to do that 3 years ago, right after I got laid off from my job and was "fragile" to begin with. I thought I would kill me, but I really did know that she was so sick and so miserable (she had a massive abdominal tumor that went from not bothering her to putting her at death's door in 6 DAYS) that I knew what I was doing was right.

It was one of the few decisions in my life that I was totally at peace with. I did say "goodbye" that day, but I rarely feel that she's gone, as weird as that sounds.

Thanks for the kind words.  One of the things that makes it so difficult is that he isn't dying.  But he's in constant pain.  He has these weird tumors all over his body that weep and bleed.  He's too old for surgery and he constantly catching them, bleeding and crying in pain.  It just isn't fair for him to have to deal with it anymore.  But then the next day he'll be okay and I'll think, no he doesn't need to leave yet.  I've been having that talk with myself for 3 weeks now but I really think it's time.

IMHO? All the more reason to ease his way. He has been a wonderful, loving friend to you, and it's your turn to show him the ultimate friendship.

Had a dog that had Lymes and if she could have cried from the pain she would have.  The vet gave us pain pills to give her and gave me a look.  Two weeks later we put her out of her misery.  I still miss her 13 years later but know I did the right thing.

I'm sorry your baby is so sick and you have to go through this.

1. I don't understand how the people in this house can walk over **** laying on the floor or kick it out of the way. BEND THE **** DOWN AND PICK IT UP.

2. The trash can, sink w dirty dishes, and laundry bag ARE ALWAYS FULL. I don't understand how I do a load of dishes and two seconds later the sink is full. Its the opposite of a miracle.

3. ***** frenemy at work started selling a direct sell, I STUPIDLY supported her by buying $60 worth of stuff and I asked her to buy a $5 can of chocolates for my girl scout troop AND SHE ******G SAID NO THANKS. What a *****

4. my job requires professional development yet offers zip, zilch, nada. So?? how the **** do you expect us to get points?

5. I have an amazingly great husband and I have no sex drive at this moment. I put a lot of effort into WANTING sex and nothing is happening for me. wish my body would cooperate.

I haven't taken a **** in four days....FOUR DAYS.  In an act of desperation last night, I went to the all night CVS to buy some suppositories and an enima.  I've never given myself an enima and just reading the directions made me clinch up.  I ended up using a suppository and drinking some smooth move tea.  I finally get things moving this morning and what happens....a few nuggets that felt like freaking boulders.  I'm so dayum bloated and disgusted.  I hate this ****literally!!!

Sweetie, get some Miralax.  It'll work quickly.  I'm afraid there might be a couple of hard spots at
first, but it will help.

Hugs,

From someone who always has major issues after child birth, I feel for you.  I even went so far as to have anal fissures (tears in your anus) and it REALLY isn't fun.  Along with upping your fiber (add it to your protein drink) and taking a mild laxative you need to use a stool softening suppository.  The trick with the suppository is it is going to make you feel like you have to poop, right then!  Don't!!!  lie on your bed for at least 20 min., 30 is better, give it time to work its way up there.  Then give it a go.  So not fun.  I'm sorry you are going through this.
