Just a thought.....Chile without meat and mash the beans, then eat. I was told if you can ma**** with a fork it is OK at the mushie stage.

funnily enough I tried cod last night.  Thought as it was white fish I could mu**** up.  Wrong.  Too soon.  I had what I think you yanks call "brown beef gravy" tonight and that went down fine.

Have you tried shaved deli meats? I loved chicken at that stage of recovery. The thinner the better.

 I tried that with a piece of Tilapia.....wayyy too soon!  Felt like I had swallowed a piece of shrapnel....I did the gravy thing and it went down much better.
