Weigh in this am has me 4.3 lbs from goal. I have been on a two month plateau. I eat right and walk at least four miles daily and I attribute my plateau with weekend Happy Hour and Wine calories. So I am seeing a friend tomorrow and that will be my last happy hour for a month.

I have decided to be "in training" until the OH conference. No wine, and up my miles to 8 miles a day on Thurs Fri, and Sat. Oh Please let me bust this plateau, I so want to be at goal finally.

So far, I'm doing really well with my journey. I have been at goal for several months, and am now working hard at maintaining. I am eating well and running 5 miles a day at age 60! I fell like I have a new lease on life.

I am scared of regain and long term complications, so I am pretty vigilant with my regimen. It has become something I just do.

Thanks for asking! How are you doing with your journey?

Hiya Mr. Simon,

My wls journey is going great except that I was in the hospital in June of 2011 & the begging of this month of Sept. due to a hernia that 'caused a blockage. Going to see my surgeon at the end of this month to set up a hernia repair & have my excess skin removed. I can't wait for that day to come. Other wise I am doing great on my wls journey. I am down 242.0 pounds and I weigh at 234.4 pounds right now. I had my vsg back in June of 2010. Looking forward to seeing the new thin me come out of this "butterfly" cocoon that I am in now. This surgery that I am going to have, I hope next month at some point, it would be a great birthday present for me. And from that point, I know I will really enjoy life.

Wowzers!!!!!!! That is one load of weight you have dropped!

Sorry to hear about your hernia and blockage. Good luck with your operation, and early Happy Birthday!

Yep! It sure is a load of weight that I have dropped. I am happy that I dropped it.

Thank you AnnGG. I'll be getting my hernia repaired soon. And thank you for the early birthday wish.

Well, I was doing really well on my journey.

Between two really long colds 9 mos apart and foot surgery I have put back on 10 lbs.  I have to get it back off so will be increasing my workouts and may even start jogging to help with it.

My body requires workouts daily or I gain.  That darn Metabolic Syndrome really sucks.  I wi**** would just go away.

Oh well, going to Spain in the spring so I really need to be in shape before then.

Have a great day all and I am sooooooooo looking forward to the chatroom being back up.

It's rocking now that I have a "tool" that works the way it should!

Hey Steve,

I had the DS and my two year surgiversary is this month.  I have settled in at a pretty low weight for my height and age and I wear a size 4.

I am not into exercise.  I do try to walk a little bit each day.  I've never run a mile in my life and don't plan to start now.

I eat pretty low carb and pretty high protein.

So I would say I am doing great.  I look forward to my third year post DS and what it will bring.

LOL! I couldn't run a mile if a tiger was chasing me.
