Let's Make a Deal!
Did you keep them or trade them? Your favorite foods, I mean.
I drink skim milk because I prefer the taste and mouth feel of it.
I don't miss sugar. I get along fine with all artificial sweeteners except sugar alcohols.
Non-fat cheese tastes like plastic. Gotta have the full fat version.
I eat real butter, but just a little bit.
I tend to shy away from reduced fat salad dressings and mayo because a lot of the time it's full of corn syrup and tastes gross.

I hear ya on the cheese, cheese is milkfat, when you take it away it just doesn't taste like cheese. The only thing I've had that isn't cheese that really tastes like it is Toffuti's "better than cream cheese", I've had a vegan cheese cake made with it and I swear I couldn't tell the difference.
Butter isn't really that bad for you actually- lots of vitamins A,E,D and K! It's much healthier than margarine.
I dislike pre-made salad dressings so much I just make my own. Vinegarettes are so simple to make, and so are the creamy ones like Ceasar and thousand island. I started making my own dressings many years pre-op, and it's a habit I've kept. I really hate sweet dressings, you're right the more "low-fat" they make something it usually includes sneaking in something that's worse for you to cover up the nasty taste.
Pre-op my favorite foods were sashimi, mushrooms, soba noodles/kasha and apples. Luckily my stomach post op can handle all 4 without a problem. But I don't like tuna since I can taste the iron in it now, and I don't like soft cheeses like brie because I find the ammonia in it to be overpowering. My sense of taste has changed a lot in some ways post op.
Broccoli, cauliflower, pears and artichokes irritate my new tummy so I avoid those, that does suck because I like them, but overall it's not a bad trade.

Do you have access to farm (fresh) eggs?
I wouldn't consider eating raw store-bought eggs, but grew up eating raw eggs that were from my grandparent's farm. Not sure why, but dad always put several in milkshakes when he made them.
Anyway, I don't hesitate to eat raw eggs that I know the history of. I used to have a friend that worked as a chicken-catcher at one of those big farms. Hearing her tales, I would NEVER eat one of those eggs raw. Just sayin'.

I don't have any place to get fresh eggs here and I don't trust the store bought ones either.
You gave me a flashback. I grew up in the country and my mom used to make us drink raw eggs for colds. She would flavor it with vanilla and sugar, but it would still make me gag from the slimy texture.
Chickens that come from a commercial hatchery are not like regular chickens and their eggs don't taste the same. We once bought some baby chicks from one and the birds grew abnormally fast and big. They bruised easily and their bones were fragile.
And you just gave ME a flashback! Mom would put raw eggs and brown sugar in cooked rice and call it rice pudding. I know, the warm rice kind of cooked the egg. Didn't matter to me. It was yummy.
Yah, the texture of just egg, even with sugar, would put me off. And I hear you about the commercial chickens. It's scary how fast they grow.
