Exercise is great but won't control your weight.  Sometimes makes me more hungry.  I do Weigh****chers now.

Exercise wont control your weight?  Sorry but you are mistaken.  Burn more calories than you take in, and fat will be burned.

OK...was feeling hungry all the time...down 100 lbs...RNY 7/2009...metabolism at an all time high (carbometer had it at 3347 cal)...weight coming back on...got scared SAW MY DOCTOR (I'm amazed how many people don't contact their doc)...tried phentramine...no go...had endoscopy, found a large hyatial hernia, pouch almost 7 cm...stoma 4cm and should be 1.

Had hernia corrected, and band over bypass just last Thursday. (still sore as hell BTW). Doctor has all the faith that this was the answer, and I trust him unequivocally. I will keep all posted.

Drinking your breakfast will not keep you full.  You need to eat dense protein.  If you stick with dense protein it will keep you full longer and you won't eat as much.

Eat lean, dense protein with every meal.
Non-starchy vegetables come next.
Then, if you're still hungry, have some fruit or whole grain bread or cereal.

Cut out the refined carbs.  They will make you feel like you're starving.  Drink lots of water between meals and make sure you're taking all of your supplements.

CALL YOUR DOCTOR!

Hey, the message boards are great, but they are not "that great bastion of medical knowledge"

Thanks..I am totally reminded to DRINK water! Eat protein first. I just needed some reminders. I am queen at being athletic...just not keeping my portions in control. I justify..myself thinking...I am running 30 miles a week and weight train 3 days aweek. Its just hard being athletic..i just can't lean ONLY on working it off. Because..its not working. Thanks ya'll!
