A question for all RNY'ers
The instructions given to me for the pureed stage were to use as a guideline eating foods that could be easily mashed with a fork with very little effort and never to include raw or undercooked veggies, breads or cold cereals...
I got protein from refried beans with melted low fat cheese (to die for), steamed or poached fish (skinless), canned tuna flaked, tofu (cooked or raw), string cheese, cottage cheese, yogurt, SF pudding, very well cooked steamed or boiled veggies, mashed sweet potato, hot cereal thinned with water or milk or oatmeal prepared the same.
Some of my favorite recipes were Ricotta Fluff .. shared on here by a DSer ..it tweaked it a bit and I used FF Ricotta Cheese with SF Cheesecake Pudding' ... it is to die for
Ricotta Cheese topped with a teasp of Marinara Sauce...
Cottage cheese .. plain or I made delicious puddings with it by adding cinnamon and splenda and a pinch of nutmeg...
I stayed clear or raw vegetables or any hard or undercooked foods during this stage.... You can get really creative.
