When you first get a diagnosis of cancer it's like somebody poured White-Out on your brain. At a time when you really need to think about what to do panic makes thinking almost impossible. So, take a day or two to get over the worst of the panic and then get busy.
Cancer is no longer the death sentence it once was. There are treatments and drugs available that are saving lives every day. You need to educate yourself immediately about your disease and all treatment options available.
You need to go to a cancer treatment center where they have multidisciplinary care. Your regular ob/gyn is not going to work here, you need a gyn oncologist. You can find one on the net or you can ask your primary doc for a referral.
Ask questions, if you don't understand the answers ask again. You have to know what is going to be done so that you can be an active participant in your treatment and it is vital that you be an active participant. You need to advocate for yourself. It's not easy but it so necessary. You cannot afford to think like a victim, you have to think and act like a survivor.
You can do this!

SNAP OUT OF IT!
Until we're sprinkling your ashes in the Godiva Chocolates store, you're not dead, yet fergawdsakes. But, you'll get there pretty quickly if you just give up. Attitude may not be entirely everything, but it is a HUGE weapon in your arsenal. I've seen first hand how the body likes to agree with the mind.
You conquered morbid obesity. Now spread your legs, put your hands on those skinny hips, shoulders back, hooters out, chin up, and stare down this cancer while your super hero cape flutters in the wind behind you!
( I have a cape you can borrow, if needed.)
You CAN do this.
