... Adhesions binding my intestine to the mesh used for my hernia repair 3 years ago. She said it was a big mess in there with LOTS of scar tissue. She cleaned up the adheions and removed the mesh entirely. The bad news is that she had to do a full open incision (breastbone to waist) ti get it all cleaned uo. She checked everything else while she was in there pouch, stoma, remnant stomach all look fine. Will be going home at dinnertime. Lora

((HUGS)) Glad you are doing OK Lora.  As we all knew - there was a reason for the pain. A good reason. Physical.  Not mental.
Hopefully you heal well after and things will be much better.

Wow! I'm glad you found your answer and came through the surgery OK! Nothing like another battle scar re: your incision!

Lesson learned from you (amongst many)- yell loudly and persistently until you get heard when you know something is wrong with your innards!

Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Sorry about the incision but SO glad to hear you kept up the pressure until they went in and found the source of the pain. Don't forget to bill the surgeon for your consultation!
