Eight years out. Not dead of diarrhea or vitamin deficiencies yet. Yup yup and yup about the morning poops - one good one first thing, a second after breakfast, and then done for the day. Soft poops that come out easily, no straining, no constipation, and leave you feeling "done" - what's not to like?

I think people don't WANT to believe they deserve to be happy. Let 'em suffer - I'm sure that will guarantee their entrance into heaven.

Just wanted to add one addendum:

Actually very FEW of us RNY'ers every have dumping OR foamies (at well over a year out, I have never had either)
I also **** once a day. The DS is a GREAT surgery but the RNY is not the "Devil Surgery" everyone makes it out to be either. So many of us have done awesome on it.

Believe me, like you I hear all day long how RNY is the "devil" and is "horrid" and we will all die and be miserable... Well we won't. 70% + of RNYers NEVER dump (which is why you DON'T read about them on the board...Most people do NOT post.."Gee...I didn't dump today or have RH!"

Same with the foamies. Heck, I had more "foamies" PRE-Surgery and have had NONE post op. I have never vomited once. Most real life RNY folks I meet at my group have never vomited or dumped either.

So yes...Sadly, the DS can get a bad rap by the uninformed and so can the RNY.
Thanks again for your awesome post, just didn't want you to pass along "bad info" on the RNY as you don't want people to pass along "bad/misinformation" on the DS.
