No, I will not read your blog
I blogged for ME. And I only read blogs that seem to be a personal journey that other people wrote for THEM.
An alcoholic doesn't go to "normal" when they stop drinking, they still have to deal with the underlying issues.
My weight might be closer to normal but I still have underlying issues. To pretend I'm above them and that my weight was the issue is ... ignorant.
I choose to read the blogs that are filled with insight, honesty and where people have grown through their experience. How did they keep the weight off? How did they get through that craving? How are they dealing with **** that they used to eat 55 cheeseburgers and gallons of ice cream over?
If someone is bugging you to read their blog and you don't want to...either ignore them or address them directly? It's kinda like spam, you don't gotta unless you wanna.
Peace
Binda

Good for you. Writing can be cathartic and a way of sorting out your issues. No problem with that.
Maybe SOME people have eating disorders, but I disagree that alcoholism can be compared to being fat. But, that's another thread.
If you are getting something out of it, great. Maybe some people enjoy spam, too. Most people do what they can to eradicate it. Just consider this thread my attempt at a spam-blocker.

I read a few WLS blogs where the blogger has interesting things to say - MM, or Waning Woman, for example. There's a woman who hasn't had WLS and continues to struggle, her blog is Escape from Obesity, and I read it because she's so articulate about her struggle, and it reminds me of the bad ole days. Not too interested in blogs with crafting, what-I-did-on-my-summer-vacation, etc etc.
HOWEVER, if someone were to post on here that they had a new blog about WLS-friendly recipes, I'd be all over it!

I actually do read a few blogs myself...GASP!
Well written, interesting blogs are few and far between in this community, though.
MM writes eloquently of her health struggles. Not my issues, so I don't follow it, but I can see why it would be popular with some. And besides the blurb in her sig, she doesn't respond to everything thread with a post directing people to her blog.
Eggface has an excellent blog with RnY recipes. I've used her protein ice cream recipe myself. She doesn't use enough fat for me, so I don't follow her regularly but that's another quality blog. She also doesn't interrupt every thread with an advertisement for her blog.
I'm not against blogs per se, just being spammed to death to read them.
