No, I will not read your blog

But that's the point she was trying to make. It's not that they are out there. It's that people keep contacting her and pushing their blog on her.

Lynn,

I've actually met Kel. And while this sounds exactly like something she would say to someones face I do not believe it is/was sad. Angry? Yep but only at the "Look at me!!! Look at me!!!" behavior that a lot of people SEEM to have about their blogs. Blogs should be for the person that writes them. If others do benefit from them, well great. But I think too many people have bought into the theory of "Oh!!! I'm going to get rich doing this!" They all want to go the Julie/Julia route and that is just not likely.
Hi Cutie!

Nope, not angry. "Irked" maybe. Just like the "Where are the surgeons?" thread I posted last week on the DS board, it was just a pattern that stood out during a casual reading at that time. I forget how many, but it was at least about 3-5 different people in the few threads I read that interested me. Enough to notice an annoying practice that was trending towards greater frequency.

It was time to say something.

All the anger seems to come from the bloggers flabbergasted that people don't want to be nagged to read their ramblings. And you know how well I back down when *****ed at....

I hope you are enjoying being back in the states and that both you and Fuzzy Butt have settled in well!
xoxo

Band to DS

Unfortunately, I had to delete this post due to privacy concerns.

Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!

As a pre-op (x 2, unfortunately), I have gained tons of useful information from people's blogs, whether here on OH or on another site. I see it as a way of "paying it forward" to newbies. Just my 2 cents...

Well, good for you. Seriously. I don't have a problem with anyone else enjoying them, just like I don't have a problem with people writing them. I'm just tired of the way people try to shove them down your throat. Especially now that every other person is writing one.

But, I am totally against paying it forward.

Hasn't hit, yet. It's looking like NC is going to knock it further east of us, anyway.

A few branches, a wind chime I was looking to replace anyway.

The worst was entertaining the 3 and 5 year olds with no power for about 5 hours. But I was SMART. I had charged their DSes.

And glad you approve the blog. I'm not overly touchy-feely anyway.
