I'm going to be 50 and am tired of my current career, since I work with people. I realize one always has to get along with people but I am burned out in healthcare at least. so - new career needs to be working with things or data.  oh, dear, Data: going to have to post a photo of him now.

I want to be In Demand!  what do you suggest?

smooches to all!

good start!  how do I know if I am smart enough to learn programming, for example? I already know I am not smart enough to do research. I promise.

Actuary, I kind of know what that is....what kind of smart do you need to have?

hmm, sounds like I need some sort of APTITUDE test, doesn't it?  are there any ONLINE??

accountant - I actually considered that and signed up for a beginning bookkeeping class not too long ago - and I really didn't understand it. honest.

Day Trader!  Ha, I am too nervous for that.  but I love you are jumping in and thinking of stuff.

keep it up!

I've been seeing quite a few 'quality' positions requiring a(ny) life science or bio degree.

these jobs would be with data (as pictured above?), documents, or process and would also require knowledge of various ISO standards and bio-specific regulations.

and, not many people in sight....

 OK!  what?

so, get a degree in some kind of science...what?

what do you mean as pictured above?  what is "ISO"?  I am more puzzled than informed by your post!

You said you're in healthcare, I don't know what you specifically do except there are people around you and you want to move away from that - if you have a degree related to your job then you're good.

"ISO" is International Standards Org and they mandate how a lot of process should be done, what paperwork should be maintained, etc.  Requirements.  There are add'l orgs with standards particular to medical fields.

"Data (as pictured above)" is, well, the picture of Data that you posted above....

sorry for the confusion

 ah!  thanks for clarifying.

OK, I will keep that stuff in mind. I was thinking Health Information Management since I already know a bunch of medical terminology.

good one!!  still kind of working with people, though, especially whoever you are assisting. big bonus points for being able to work at home or remotely or whatever.

thanks!
