The manufactures of the bands are really creative with deception.

damn skippy. it's adjustable!  because who wants restriction that's consistent?

once upon a time I had a group to talk about Binge Eating Disorder, and later one about Clean Eating.

PM me if you are interested in either of these.

The band makers have spent fortunes on advertising (I've seen/heard almost no ads for any other type of WLS).

Their marketing was pretty good too, to leave a concept of "less invasive" in absolutely every persons head that has seen or heard any of their adds, despite it being a lie. The ads that were run constantly here (I'm in WA) were designed to pull on every heart string - very poignant and emotional, but no actual facts or info in the commercial.

Going with the "less invasive" surgery meant that I would go under the knife four times, under anesthesia six or seven times for testing and surgery, and having three CT scans in four months (the equivalent of having 600 x-rays, not to mention all the fluro's and actual x-rays I got during this time on top of those CT scans, I guess I should just be happy I am not glowing).
