I just joined this site a week ago and thought a good way to document my experinces, make friends, and excercize my emotions was to write in the blog.  But I'm wondering if anyone even sees them or reads them? I don't think I'm wasting my time because ultimately, I'm writing for me, but just wondering if this is a good place to blog or should I do it someplace else?

Oh! and I'm currently accepting applications for friendship. This is a limited time offer so act now!  :D   LOL Thanks.

Some people read them---I don't. But since you're ultimately writing for yourself, does it matter? (*grin*)

I do read all of my friend's blogs, and I read the blogs of people who have similar stories to my own. Feel free to add me. You'll have at least one person *****ads your blog

I read the blogs fairly regularly and enjoy doing so; the majority of them are well thought out and shares a journy that most of us can relate to (both good and bad).   I don't blog at this point because I'm not sure I feel like putting my heart out there.  Self-esteem issues, ya know.

I don't, mostly because I don't have time and I enjoy the back and forth exchange of ideas that the message board offers.

I am way too much of a privacy freak to blog about myself.  I might one day try to blog about "topics" that relate to WLS, but not personal experience.

Honestly - not really.  Not unless you link them out on another site where we can find them.

I find most of my blogs on Facebook.    Write here - link out.  Or write elsewhere, link back.

 Hi Jack,

The community is very mixed. =)

Our metrics and experience show that we have people that hang out in one specific area of the site, while others mix-it up a lot.  We have some people that come on only to use use the chat, groups, their favorite message board, q&a, or the health tracker.  We have other people that are voracious bloggers, comment leavers and content readers. Other times, people will stop in and flip through b&a photos for a long time and not come bac****il they are ready to start their journey.  Or sometimes people are here specifically seeking surgeon help!  Again, very mixed and often changing.

We recomend that you go ahead and start blogging!  Keep reaching out like you are doing and check out the featured blogs on the homepage.  People do read them =)

I've got a non-WLS related blog and while it's nice when people read it, it doesn't really matter if they do.

Just blog for your own well-being. it lets to get everything out of you, which is always good, and lets you read back later and reflect.
