Ms. Batt said exactly what I was thinking.  EXACTLY.
I got my sleeve on March 14, 2011.  I love it so far!

go on and on about how huge and disgusting they are, wearing a size 14 or 16. Sure, that's not thin---but so many of us started out in a 5XL or 32/34.

I absolutely COMPLETELY agree with you Ms. Batt.  I guess there is no hope for me and I'll be forever gross and disgusting because I wear a size 12 and sometimes (gasp) a size 14.

And here I was, considering my WLS a success since I went in to surgery in a tight size 28.

Oh well. Sigh.

You did have success and congrats to you.
I can't believe that I offended people being 14/16. this is like a 5x to me. I guess that's why someone started the lightweight forum because some have less than 90 pounds to lose.

Congrats again.

I have had my share of rude from people when it comes to my kids, believe it or not I have had more rude comments about THEM then about my size.

One man actually asked me if they where all "normal" b/c they are triplets, and because they are multiples it's perfectly ok to ask me about how, when and where my husband was when I concived them. My favorite question always is "are they natural?" to which I generally reply "Well they ARE made from organic matter and not plastic, so yeah, I guess they are natrural" or "No, I had a boob job last year" (which really gets them confused).

People need to think before they talk, but that does not seem like it's going to happen any time soon.

In general, my rule of thumb:  I don't live with you;you don't pay my bills, So don't ask if; I am going to breast feed (men that are perverts), anything sexually, my job status, if I ROCK a weave (it's my hair),   and (when I was single at 27, enjoying life and not trying to settle) why didn't I have any children?...

The people at the nail shop who speak in another language about people, to bad that I speak Japanese and Chinese.

Sorry almost went into a tangent. Everyone situation is different, but when it comes to screaming kids, I am not the judge, but the little sucker who comes over to bite me or to touch my plate when I am eating while your parents are "Relaxing" and I don't know you..No, I can't do.

Sincerely,

Up twist

1.Thank you for mentioning the nail salons... I hate when I go to get my eyebrows waxed and they ask if I want to do my mustache. I don't have mustache and I find that out of a lot of girls I know I am one of the least hairy ones!

2.One rude thing that has to do with my boyfriend is when he thinks that nothing will fill me. When we go and pick up food he is always adding extra stuff. I know he isn't trying to be mean and I guess since I am his first big girlfriend he doesn't know that sometimes he can be offensive.

3.When you are eating with people and they are grossed out by what they have, not because it is gross or weird but because they are picky. If you find it gross keep it to yourself.

4.My neighbors brother who suddenly moved in and thinks the parking lot is an automotive garage. He has a Celica which he put a large muffler on so it makes so much noise. Maybe he thinks he is in the Fast and The Furious. I can hear the car coming (with the windows closed) from 3-4 blocks away. He also likes to keep the hood up all the time (maybe he thinks we are admiring it) , is always looking at the engine and revving it!

5. Also to do with neighbors, not bringing their trash bins or recycling to the street for pick up... hopefully we wont get rats!

6. Men who act like you don't exist because your fat and who won't hold the door open for you.

I used to have a client who was a vegetarian. The whole company (about 8 people) would eat lunch at the same time and she would have a ****fit if anyone was eating meat. Of course, EVERYone was eating meat. You live in a world full of carnivores, honey. Get over it.

I saw this thread a couple of days ago, but didn’t post anything because
I couldn’t really think of a peeve I had, that was until yesterday.  I hate
when I am at the store and I am waiting to pay for my stuff, and since I
always pay with credit card I need access to the machine. This rude lady
was so close to me in line I couldn’t even move to sign my arm to sign
my name, so I had to ask her to back up so I could have some room.
Last week at the store wasn’t any better. I was standing in line putting
my grocery on the belt and this man and lady are almost lying over my
cart.  I am not usually a rude person, but I did give them a mean look
and said I would like to get my purse so I could pay for my items…
people can be so rude.

I have a lot more issues with screaming kids than I used to. I think you lose your tolerance for screaming as you get older. But I don't necessarily consider them automatically be rude. I just want it to STOP.

As long as we're going to rail against people who complain about what size people are... I hate how it's okay certain groups to make fun of the smaller sizes. As if no one below a size X could possibly be healthy. No, if you are a size 2, the only way you could have gotten to that size is by unhealthy dieting or maybe having an eating disorder. It couldn't possibly be because you are short or anything.    In general, I think commenting on anyone's size is rude, whether you are commenting because you think they are too fat or too thin.

P.S. The OP as for thing you consider rude, not your pet peeves.

There is a BP gas station right up from my house and the cashiers are the rudest I've ever encountered.  Just went to buy a bag of ice and I said thank you after the sale and he goes "yea" in the rudest tone I ever heard.  Even the ***** of an owner is rude when she waits on you.  I'll be driving the three miles into Juneau for gas and such from now on.

Yea - that's you BP at the corner of 26 and 33 at Minnesota Junction/Horicon.  Shame on you.  ********!
