XPOST, OT: Talk to me about rudeness . . .

Treading on thin ice but here goes...

As a previous resto owner and a frequent patron ... trust me... misbehaved children are NOT something people should just suck up when they're paying 30 or 40 bucks for a steak.

Kids running round... and the parent then get mad if the waitress almost drops a bowl of hot soup on them cuz the little darling runs head on into the waitress's legs.

I've had a kid running round a table, jump on a chair and end up landing ON a patron's table.

Was in a high end resto on Father's day a few years ago... Two tables over - I had a woman actually CHANGE her baby's diapers on the table IN the dining room of a resto.  Took everything in me not to take her by the throat and squeeze the life out of her.

While I realize that there are special needs kids... the reality is though that most badly behaved kids (or basically stupid people for that matter) are that way because the parents DON'T do their job and show them how to behave in public.
Pick your surgery first, then your surgeon. Not the other way around.
PS:... Potato chips should be a food group.

I'm tired of screwing with that damn health widget.
I've lost 125 pounds to date!!!!
   And I'm UNDER 190 now!!!

Yeah, I've been in the resto situation, too. Somehow, when there are kids running around acting like animals, there is a tendency for my size 10s to somehow end up in the aisle for the tots to accidentally fall over.

I don't know HOW it happens  . . .

Well, I have a weight-loss peeve, or at least a WLS peeve. I get peeved when people on this site go on and on about how huge and disgusting they are, wearing a size 14 or 16. Sure, that's not thin---but so many of us started out in a 5XL or 32/34.

And let's NOT forget about the skinny ppl that complain about how fat and disgusting they are and they look like they're pregnant b/c they gained 5-10 lbs.! Those are the ones that really irritate me!

I'm sure that wearing a 5/6 for years and suddenly going up to a 14/16 IS distressing---but you need to keep in mind that the 'average' American woman now wears a 14.

And I have no beef with you about having WLS at your current size/weight. If I could go back in time, knowing what I know now, I'd have had my DS then, too, had it been available to me.

I think you've missing the point of what I said---it can be hurtful to others to hear people of your size refer to themselves as gross, disgusting, etc. when so many of the people who post here are far larger. Try to turn this around---imagine someone who wears the 5/6s you used to wear, calling herself gross and disgusting because she can't wear a TWO.

Some of us started out really heavy are rather PROUD to be wearing 14/16s. Hearing you say you're gross and disgusting wearing the sizes we're now proud to wear---not cool.

I get that. For the record, I said it is the pits.
I read and I know this but I should NOT be limited in posting what I feel about my story and my weight because most have started at 300 plus. I'm not apologizing to anyone because I think my clothing size is the pits.

If you are happy to be this size...that's great and happy for all. For me, I am not use to being this way...end of story so deal with it or block me and then you won't ever have to see me post it again.

PS> I have never posted a negative response or opinion other than the one time when someome was trying to tell me that was I posted about ME was'nt true.

Last note....I have no problems loving me then or now. I dress,I play,I never leave the house without my hair done,I have self confidence now and will after surgery and strut in heelslike nobody's business. I have no problems with loving who I am. Anyone that KNOWS me,do know..this is me.

I don't care for this size because the extra 70-80 pounds is putting pain on my knee. Again, sorry you were overweight all of your life. I was'nt and i will not have fingers pointed to me because I was'nt morbidly obese til 5 years ago.

Have a wonderful rest of your day because through all of this, my god is still great and he knows me best.

O-kay.

First off, I didn't address you or refer to you specifically when I made my original post---I was speaking IN GENERAL of the several people who have posted on here in the past, describing themselves as gross or disgusting. You did not---but your post made me think of others who have.

Secondly, I did NOT say you couldn't post any damned thing you please---I just said that *I* get pissed off when I read a certain kind of post. YOU chose to 1) assume I was talking about YOU, and 2) assume that I was telling you you COULDN'T post your feelings. See, if it's okay for YOU to post your feelings about being unhappy wearing a size 14, it's equally okay for ME to post that it ****** me off. Get it?

Thirdly---what the hell does whether or not you've ever posted anything negative have to do with it?

And lastly---I don't care how fat you are or aren't, or how you got that way. I don't care if you're only wearing a size 14 because your meds blew you up, or if you got this way by eating a gallon of ice cream every day. I'm glad you're taking charge of your obesity NOW, and I said so in my previous post.

Stop taking everything so personally.
