Grilling Veggies

I have grilled peppers, zucchini, eggplant, potatoes, tomatoes but that's it.

I'm about to try asparagus, does anybody have any tips on how to do so successfully?

Are there any other veggies you grill?  Care to share?

I am still pre-op so not sure if you can have it.

I have grilled asparagus with a little salt and pepper brushed with olive oil wrapped in a half slice of turkey bacon.

Do you have a grilling basket? For something like asparagus I would most likely use a basket. I have grilled corn and I have smoked corn on the cob and both of those were amazing. I have also pulled back the green leaves, pulled off all of the silk, wrapped bacon around the corn on the cob and pull the green leaves back up over the corn and bacon before grilling it. Now that is REALLY good.

According to Bobby Flay you can grill almost any vegetables.

I also like to grill mushrooms and fresh green beans.  You can put the mushrooms in skewers with olive oil, salt and pepper (or marinate them for a while in some salad dressing that you like). Green beans only need a few minutes in the grill with nothing else. Once out you can put on some butter (or sustitute) olive oil, salt and pepper and eat them as a side dish.

You can also grill fruit.  Fresh pineapple, peaches, apricots, even prunes and bananas can also be grilled.

Corn on the cob tastes well when grilled as well.

Good luck!!!

Peace and good.

I usually just brush them with olive oil and season with some all purpose seaoning and put them right on the grill.  They only take a few mins on each side.

I have grilled large portabella mushrooms, onions, and okra all with the same method.

We do asparagus all the time, drizzle with olive oil and seasoning, put on the grill perpendicular to the direction ot the grates.  Just takes a few minutes.  Very easy and we now prefer asparagus grilled to steamed. Very tasty.
