Stricture Fixed!

I got my stricture fixed yesterday.  It wasn't too bad except for the fact that I woke up when they were finishing up.  Completely freaked out.  I remember someone telling me to relax and that's it.  Guess they knocked me back out.  Anyway my throat is killing me today so I guess my panic attack caused the scope to scratch it or something.  Nurse blew 2 veins trying to start an IV so I look like a junkie today.  Other than that, I could immediately feel the difference when I started drinking last night.  No gurgling....just went straight down.  I hope that never happens again.  Thanks for the prayers and words of encouragement yesterday!!!  Love all of you.

I think mine was more just a abused pouch that needed time to recover. I pushed it too quickly after the first stuck episode.

2 days of liquids and I am back to eating, without issue. Perhaps not as quickly as my brain thinks it should, and when I have something really tasty, like the rotisserie chicken from Costco, those old eating habits start to fight to come out.

I'm glad that's what was wrong with you.  I was questioning my problems and thought maybe I just wasn't chewing it good enough.  I was relieved when I talked to my doctor afterwards though.  She said it had dilated from 15 mm (?) to less than 7 so I was on the verge of not being able to get liquids thru it.  Just glad I went on and called my doc.
