Esophagus Stretched

I am Having trouble swallowing.. When i eat i have to (reswallow) my food so it will stay down and drink lots of fluids.. I brought this up at my doctors app the other day so she ordered this balloon to be inserted in my esophagus and stretch it out. I have read some posts that say they have had to have their esophagus stretched but forgot why.. I would like to hear from you if you had this same procedure and if it was for a different reason....Please share with me..Thanks Wendy

It is usually from a stricter which is a narrowing of the esopogus it happens to alot of people even ones with out surgery. the procedure it self is usually done in the GI lab under versed you wont remember nothing!!!

Best wishes to you. I am going in for my fourth scope tomorrow to stetch the opening to my pouch. Not sure it is working. It sounds like your issue is different than mine however.
