Hi Alyssa,

Please check with your Bariatric surgeon.  You will most likey need 500-1000 mcg per day of sublingual Vitamin B 12.

Be sure to purchase the sublingual type (under the tongue) since this form will be absorbed in the mouth.  The pill type is not the correct one to use since it will not be absorbed well at all.

Alyssa, I use liquid sublingual B Complex.  Spring Valley and Nature's Bounty are the brands I use most often.  You can find them just about anywhere.

They have a mega high dosage of B-12 so I only have to take it once a week.  You would need to adjust your dosage depending on your lab results.

I take 5000 mcg per day because it helps with my carpal tunnel.

It depends on your levels. When I took the 2500 from Walmart every day, my B12 dropped. I switched to different form Methylcoablbumin vs. cyano and seem to do better.

Find out what your levels are go from there. I shoot for at least 1,000 lab levels and *I* need to take a lot. Some people do fine on 500 per day. It really varies

I use a liquid B- complex sublingual, I get it at wal mart, a spring valley  and use  one cc under the tongue, bottle is 6-7$ and lasts a month...and has 20,000% of  b-12 and the other b's as well. sweetpotato
