Math is my enemy :-(

I need a mathematical question answered.  And if anyone can guide me to/thru a process where I can do this myself.... please!!

Here's the deal.  I made some ground turkey tonight for myself.  (It was delish!)  The Nutrition label is pretty straight forward, if you are eating 4oz.  Which I did not.  I only ate 3 oz.  So  I need to find out how many grams of everything I actually ate.
I know I will encounter this more in the future, can anyone assist?

(Nutrition Label - per 4oz serving)
Calories - 170
Fat - 8g
Sat Fat - 2.5g
Cholesterol - 80mg
Protein - 21 g *this is the big one I need answered lol *

Thanks in advance my friends!

Don't know about the rest off the top of my head, but you had 15.75 grams of protein if you ate 3 oz instead of 4.

As for the rest:

(close approximations without going into decimal points:)

calories: 126
fat:  6g
sat fat: 1.8g
cholesterol: 60mg

Calories - 127.5
Fat - 6 g
Sat Ft -  1.9
Cholesterol - 60 mg
Protein -  15.75 g

Since you know the info for FOUR ounces you divide each one by 4 to get the value per ounce and then multiply by 3 to get the values for 3 oz.

Formula is ounces eaten divided by ounces per serving. Then multiply that by each number on the nutritional label.

So you ate 3/4 ounces. 3/4 is 0.75.

Calories = 0.75(170) = 127.5
fat = 0.75(8) = 6
sat fat = 0.75(2.5) = 1.875
cholesterol = 0.75(80)= 60
protein = 0.75(21) =15.75

Divide the numbers by four, then multiply by three

Yes... what you said.  That is the only way I know to do it.

Amy... You should have left yours up!!!  It was the same formula.

If the nutritional information is for X number of ounces, but you have a different number of ounces you consume, take the nutritional information and divide it by the number of ounces it is for... that gives you the nutritional information for a single ounce.....then you multiply that information by the number of ounces you are going to consume.

Hope that helps.
