Puffy abdominal area

OK, so I'm starting to get really worried, I have been having bathroom issues and I started taking miralax almost a week ago. That has helped out with the constipation but my belly is REALLY swollen and bloated looking. I that normal? should I be concerned? I called my surgeon's office and left a message today but I haven't heard anything back yet. I'm just a little worried about bowel obstruction or something. 

Sorry to hear your uncomfortable.  I am sure the surgeon will offer assistance when they call back.  Are drinking enough fluids.  They should equal or exceed the amt of protein you are consuming.  Good luck..
