One year from today -

I hope to be
running circles around those who used to run circles around me
I hope to be  happy to look at myself in a mirror, and like what i see
I hope to be  much better in bed, and not as out of breath (flexible too!)
I hope to be  better at making food choices for myself, and my BF
I hope to be  able to help someone else on their journey to a healthier them
I hope to be  still talking to all of you!!

Hi,

What a GREAT list of "I hope to be."  I have a feeling with your attitude that you will achieve each and every one of them.  It does feel great to be able to do all the things you want to do.

I think 2 of the things I noticed first as I was losing weight was that I could bend over and tie my shoes really easy and the next one was that I could cross my legs.  Small things to some people, but really great things for me.

Hang in there and NEVER give up on doing all of these--they will happen.

Hugs,
Suzanne

I'll join in on your poll.

One year from now - I will be two years out.  I hope to have reached my goal of 150 by then.  I hope to be understanding myself more about why I want to eat when I'm not hungry and to have found an alternate activity.  I hope to be exercising weekly as a routine and have normal lab values (so far so good).

Hi,

Wow you have done an amazing job so far.  I think that many of us have searched as to why we eat when we aren't hungry.  I have to always stopped and asked myself, do I JUST WANT TO EAT or DO I NEED TO EAT.  When I would ask it was want to eat..and on that note I wouldn't eat anything, or I would have a cup of decaf tea--I am not and have never been a coffee drinker.  Something warm in my stomach always seems to help me and still does to this day.

Congratulations on all your choices, sometimes just saying them or writing them makes a big difference.

Hugs to you,
Suzanne

Thank you so much Suzanne!

I agree with crossing my legs, however I hate lace shoes, and buy velcro haha!

I also can't wait to be able to take a shower and get to ALL the places that need washing!!

I go in tomorrow, so I'm one step closer to all my hopes and dreams!

Hi

Have a safe trip home.  And remember I am only an E-mail away if you need or want to talk about something. The 1st month will be you hardest month that you will do. And you can do anything for 30 days--it isn't a life time.  I have lots of Nike shoes--with laces.  My son works for Nike at their world wide headquarters in Beaverton, OR--so that is why have have LOTS of  Nike shoes and clothes.

You will really start to drop weight at first pretty fast--when I say fast 3 or 4 pounds a week in this 1st month.  If you stall or don't lose any in the first month remember that is pretty normal.  I went for 9 days in that first month and didn't lose anything.  Then on the 10th day I lost 2 or 3 pounds.  This is a normal thing for our bodies to do.  Don't panic OK.  You will never have a regret for doing this.  Each day gets your closer to where you want to go.

Hugs and hang in there OK.

I'd like to be down another 50 lbs, but I won't be heartbroken if that doesn't happen.

Hi,

You have the best attitude.  You will never fail with this attitude.  I wish you great success.  Just keep doing what you are doing.  You might surprise yourself and lose that 50 pounds before your year is up.

Hugs,
