LOL! I hear you about the bumper stickers. Here's a quote I read the other day:

"I really loathe [the bumper sticker] 'Proud Parent of a Terrific Kid!'

Why not a bumper sticker for the unlucky parents, something like: 'My Fifteen-Year-Old's in Detox and Not Speaking to Any of Us' or 'My Kid Robbed a 7-Eleven and is in a Center for Youthful Offenders."

I think you are not getting what Diana had to say AT ALL, despite her clarifications. You are reading the post through YOUR eyes, not "newbie" eyes. Don't try to speak for a whole group of people.

I can INDEED relate to newbie anxieties, honey. I am not so senile, ancient though I am *snort*, that I have forgotten what I went through to get here. Good heavens you make a lot of silly assumptions.

She only made her clarifications in response to my and a few others posting our comments.  I am not making assumptions are reading anything wrong about what she ORIGINALY posted.  I highlighted that stuff in another post. She only backed off a bit after some people posted disagreeing with her and point out some facts such as some of the most respected surgeons on the DS forums are in fact working at CoE's.

You can attack me all you wish, I am well aware of what I am setting myself up for but don't care.
She was making sweeping broad unsupported statements that YES I do feel could confuse and scare a new person to WLS if they had been read without her going back and "clarifying" her positions. Call me silly or whatever name you wish but that is the truth.

Go back and read my earlier post, she posted all that stuff, wasn't me putting words in her mouth, or paraphrasing it was direct quotes. I didn't misunderstand anything she posted or her intentions, which was to make CoE's out to be bad. She didn't clarify until LATER that she
wasn't talking about them all, she should have mentioned that without being prompted by me and others.

Well NOW that is some maturity. I can't be bullied and she can't really find fault with what I said so I know, lets block him and post a big picture of me flipping him off.. lol,  She must have the largest  collection of immature jpegs and gifs in the world judging by what I have seen in some other threads she has posted in.  Something to be proud of I guess.

Oh know I am blocked whatever can I do to see what the reply was? Oh waitI  know log off and look.

I've got 2 or 3 COEs in my county one is merely 5 miles away. And I wouldn't have let them touch me with a 10' pole even for non-baricatric procedures. The horror of these hospitals scares the crap out of me. So yes COE means diddly squat other than some paper work.

I will take that hour to my surgeon or 35 minutes to University of Michigan Hospital , both in different counties. And before somone says what about an emergency, I've already been in one and got the ambulance ride to my surgeon. So its not hard to demand especially since I also keep a letter clearly stating what hospitals I will allow my person to be taken to when being operated on is needed. They are allowed to stablize but NEVER operate on me. My whole family knows too, but they are the same way themselves.
