It's a person who volunteers to do all sorts of things when you have your surgery: visit you, if possible, check with you family to make sure you're okay, then report to the forums, etc.

I've done "visitations" a few times and really enjoyed them.

WLS angels where I'm from can be anyone who is interested/willing to help you out, but was someone from my WLS Support Group. I was 1000 miles from home so she was a life-saver to me when I went to the hotel post -op day #3...for a week. It was Feb. and cold and icey out. My angel brough me things like egg drop soup, broth she made at home instead of gritty cubes, stuff like that. She was so good to me! She also knew what was "normal" to feel post op and that helped, too.

Well volunteers to manage all kinds of things when you have your surgery: visit you, if possible, check with you family to confirm you're alright, then report to the forum

That is truly a wonderful thing to do for someone. Especially those going through this with no one else to help them or be support for them!
