When did you get your band?      03/09/09  (little more than 2 years ago)
How much have you lost?    195 lbs +/-   I'm bouncing around 187 to 190 right now
What complications have you had?   Other than being too tight for a few weeks.  NONE.  The tightness was easily fixed by removing a little fluid.

I love my band-going on 7 yrs!  I was banded on 4-8-2004, I've lost 100lbs and have kept it off for over 4 yrs.  I had my port flip the first yr.  No other complications.  I had  a total of (i think) 5 fills and I have 2.5cc in a 4cc band.  My last fill was back in 2006.  Karianne

I've had mine since 2/25/11.
I've lost 24lbs as of yesterday...and it was all after surgery.  I wasn't supposed to lose prior because I had a borderline BMI for insurance.
I've had 1 fill.
So far so good...loving this tool.  It has truly helpd me control my appetite and I, so far, am able to eat anything.  I'm just happy with less of it.

When did you get your band?  - 02-26-2009

How much have you lost? - 107 lbs

Complications? -
None

Ive had 6 fills, all within the first year and havent really needed another.  I could get one, but I like to keep my band a little loose that way I can still enjoy some foods that I otherwise wouldnt be able to if I were tighter.  ie: pizza.   I can have 2 small slices and be FULL.  Actually, one pretty much does the trick....  if I was any tighter, pizza would be a no-go for me, and I will not give that up.

The band doesnt stop you from eating foods you shouldnt, it just helps you eat in moderation.

I believe in Moderation Not Deprivation!

Take Care and Good luck!

Hi there!

I was banded 5/09, lost over 100% of my excess weight (I am 29 lbs under my goal weight of 150), have maintained that loss for 15 months thus far and am THRILLED with my band. :)  No complications to date, thankfully!

Good luck and welcome!
