Just something i've noticed
I guess it all depends on where you carry your weight. Some women have thin legs and heavy upper bodies and their legs look great after WLS.
Your body shape is not going to change with WLS. If you are an apple or pear before, you will be an apple or pear after. Most people have some loose skin especially on the upper arms, belly and thighs. Exercise helps and some people have PS.
Actually, more people have problems with waist and tummy than anything else.

This is probably the one thing that bothers me most about my loss. My legs are still a lot bigger than I want them to be. I'm still not comfortable weairng shorts. Once I think about it though, all the women in my family have big legs and smaller torsos, so it's probably just the genes :) I'm sure once I hit goal (90 lbs to go!) then everything will be much better. And if not, there's always a thigh lift ;)
I weighed in at 121 pounds fully clothed and my height is 5'5.5" .... I STILL have larger legs and butt in proportion to waist and upper body ...pretty much the same shape I had when I was morbidly obese .... I work out intensely ... my doc asked me why I kept overlooking genetics ... not matter how hard I work out I will have bigger legs and rear in proportion to the rest of my body because it is the way I am shaped .. I can either be a pear or a bumblebee LOL thing is I am now healthy...
I am not sure where you are looking but my perfect flat tummy cost about 4k thanks to a plastic surgeon, my legs are still fat, but I have seen plenty with beautiful thin legs that most people would kill for. Its all about your body type and where you carry your weight, think back on how the pounds packed on and you will probably get a sense for how they will come off, even when I was young and thinnish I had fat upper arms and legs and a small waist, pretty much what I got back too, oh yeah and a big ass. Now its just all deflated and not exactly pretty but considering I was MO for 20 years covered in stretch marks what could I expect. There is no such thing as spot toning, so you can try but its not going to do anything really.
Good Luck

My body shape totally changed. I used to be a pear and now I'm an apple. My tummy is pretty flat but I had to have surgery on my arms....and they were never that large. My legs are thin, but saggy. That might be my next surgery. Everyone is unique so the only thing that matters is how your body responds to weight loss. Most people think I'm lying about not having the tt, but it looks ugly under the clothes.
It's really about body type. I'm lossing from the top down and the bottom up. Leaving me with a very thick middle. It's the most stubborn part of me. THank goodness for clothing camo! TO find pants that fit my waist they swim on my but and thighs. Sigh.. Thank goodness I've become quite friendly with my local seamstress.
Goodluck! it's a journey worth taking even when the outcome seem unkown.
I hate to admit it but I have big legs. I bought a dress in a size 8, but my pants because of my legs I need to get in a 13. and the waist is always too big. So I deal with it. These are the cards I am dealt. And lets not forget Queen had to rewrite their song "Fat Bottomed Girls" for me. It's now called FLAT BOTTOMED GIRL!
