Just something i've noticed
Of course I am staring at before and after pics and everyone just looks SO AMAZING! But there's something I have noticed and I don't know if it is just me being paranoid or if it's a real problem..
In most (not all) of the after pics everyone has thes gorgeously flat tummy's and sexy waists and you see these stunning smiles YAY!! then you scroll down just a little and it seems like the legs are still at the "before" size. I want my legs to look as gogeous as the rest of me will. Is this a common thing? Is it something I would need plastics for after? Please understand I am not bashing on ANYBODY's after pics. You all look so fabulous! It's just something I have noticed and am wondering about. Are my legs something I would need to focus on working out more as the weight comes off the tummy?

My opinion is you have to work out everything, but your clothes cover a lot . But yes I do focus on my legs & arms more because I do like wearing shorts & sleeveless tops. Some people do have plastics on arms & legs I guess that depends on how much you lose or just the person, I want to try & do it w/exercise because you will have a scare. Hope this helps.
Oh right! I do understand that I will need to work out in order to tone up and such. I was wondering though because you can tell that everyone has worked hard because their results are just gorgeous. It's just that I noticed the legs seem to be slower maybe in getting slim? I don't know It's probably just me being weird or something.
A LOT of people seem to lose from the top down. Many "after" pictures are rather "early" afters, when the person first reaches the coveted weight. After a while, things tend to redistribute somewhat. I don't know if it's a gravity thing or what makes it happen.
It also depends on where you carry your weight. I'd wager that many, if not most, women carry significant percentages of their excess weight in hips and thighs. Oh, and the legs have the biggest muscles, too, so they're going to look proportionally larger than other places. Remember we've been working out our legs a lot just by carrying all that extra weight.

I work out equally all over but my legs were the LAST to go when I was losing weight, no matter how hard I focused on them. They are slender now (finally) but I am still working on trying to get rid of the cellulite appearance on the front of my thighs - which I'm beginning to think is impossible LOL. Overall, I am at a very happy place with how my body looks (it's not like I run around scantily clad anyhow lol), and I work realllllly hard at it...but most importantly, I FEEL AMAZING! :)
I agree its the most important thing that YOU feel good in the skin you're in :) I was just wondering if it was a common thing with WLS that a person would lose the tummy first then everything after follows or if it is just me looking forward to not having my thighs rubbing together and my arms waggling in the breeze if you see what I mean.
Most women, by nature, carry there weight in the hips and legs, as to store fat for pregnancies etc, so lots of women lose the bottom half last. Unlucky for me, I carry most of my weight at the top and my legs are always on the slender side, so I naturally will lose the top half of my weight last. Whether you're a pear shape or an apple shape, probably depends on how you will lose it...but not 100% of the time!! I can always keep my fingers crossed!!
